Born in Lithuania in 1988, Karolina grew up surrounded by music. She began singing at a very early age and felt destined to become a professional singer. Therefore every stage of her creative path was well-thought-out. After her studies at St. Cecilija Art Gymnasium, Karolina graduated from Klaipėda Stasys Šimkus Conservatory, the class of vocals.
K. Glinskaitė, a multiple laureate of song contests, was open to new challenges – for one academic year she switched from classical to jazz vocals and enrolled in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (LMTA). Jazz studies had undoubtedly enriched her experience as a soloist, inspired to explore the boundaries between different music genres as well as helped realize her true calling. Opera – the art form which fascinated Karolina from her early childhood – had brought her back to the world of classical music. In 2008, soprano continued her classical vocal performance studies at LMTA with renowned tenor prof. Virgilijus Noreika and obtained her Bachelor and Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Pedagogy degrees.
After her studies, K. Glinskaitė joined the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater Opera Studio in the 2014-2015 season and created the roles of Leonore in Beethoven’s Fidelio, Anina and Giovanna in Verdi’s La Traviata and Ernani.
K. Glinskaitė participated in Artis Opera performance of Mozart’s Requiem. Performed at international and national music festivals, such as Morellino Classica Festival Internazionale di Scansano (Italy), Triomphe de l’Art Music Festival (Belgium), Sugrįžimai (lt. Returns), Sacred Music Festival, Christopher Summer Festival, Druskininkai Summer with M. K. Čiurlionis, Alma Mater Musicalis, Bistrampolis and others. Worked with conductors G. Marciano, J. Wallnig, G. Rinkevičius, M. Staškus, V. Lukočius, R. Šervenikas, M. Barkauskas, R. Šumila amongst others.
Soloist at e-Carmen and Tosca performances of Vilnius City Opera directed by D. Ibelhauptaitė.
Member of joint Baroque and jazz quartet Baroque Contempo. In 2016, released a debut album with Baroque Contempo.
